N.O.L.A. Beat | Weekly Playlist

So the past week has been a whirlwind. Went to New Orleans for the first time, and boy was it adventurous. We stayed on Bourbon St. right in the middle of all the insanity, got to hear the oldest kid perform with a real New Orleans jazz street band, and discovered some cool restaurants. Even took a tour of the city, which satisfied my nerdy historic side. It was a very interesting trip, but it had some crazy twists. The charter bus we were on broke down in Kentucky, and we were stuck for 4 hours before we could get a replacement bus home. We spent 27 hours on the bus! Talk about tired and sore, my legs are still swollen and sore. But overall, I gained an appreciation for the history of New Orleans and that is this week’s playlist inspiration.

I love me some jazz and a little bit of southern rap, so this list represents both sides of the musical spectrum. Enjoy these N.O.L.A. artists!
